This project was inspired by 'Anatomical Abstraction.'
Breaking away from traditional robotic forms that expose complex mechanical elements and wiring, it reinterprets the intrinsic beauty of the human musculoskeletal system through a minimalist design language
Human-like Joint Mechanics
- The primary focus was the seamless morphological integration of the joints to replicate human movement. By employing a kinematic design that combines ball joints and hinges, it ensures multi-axis movement (degrees of freedom) while meticulously refining the parting lines to maintain the robot's uninterrupted silhouette.
Monolithic CMF & Visual Focal Point
By applying a light-absorbing matte black finish across the entire exterior, the design directs the viewer's focus toward the robot's structural volume and the flow of its edges, rather than intricate part details. In contrast, the vertical red LED on the fascia acts as a striking visual focal point and core identity, breathing life into the cold, metallic body.
