Douwon is a product design studio working at the intersection of engineering and design. We translate complex technology into forms that anyone can understand and use — from tech startup branding to industrial product development and AI design education. Our philosophy is simple: we design what technology means.
The Designer
Douwon is led by Yeo Kim, an industrial designer and engineer who studied art, then engineering — and went on to design furniture, then robots.

What We Do
Tech Startup Branding. We translate the complex technology of hardware and deep-tech startups into a visual language that investors and the market can understand — covering IR decks, brand identity, and product visualization.
Industrial Product Development. From idea to manufacturable product. We handle 3D modeling, structural design, and prototyping, grounded in a real engineering understanding — across robotics, electronics, and everyday products.
AI Design Workshops. We give people the experience of creating 3D models and printing real products using AI tools. Through tech-art education for local residents and beginners, we lower the threshold to technology.
The Studio
"Officina" is Italian for workshop — a craftsman's studio. Combined with "Douwon," our neighborhood's name, it became Officina Douwon: a workshop for our community.
Located in the craft district of Seongnae-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, we are a design studio that offers design education and product making for local residents. 3D printing and digital fabrication were once the domain of specialists; our work is to bring them close to home, where anyone can experience them.
We make furniture, lighting, and everyday products with 3D printing, and provide prototyping services for young founders and small businesses. We run tech-art workshops and 3D modeling classes for everyone from children to seniors — so that anyone can become a maker. And we collaborate with neighboring workshops and local businesses to build a new identity: our neighborhood as a place of maker culture.
Good design isn't far away. We aim to be the design studio closest to your neighborhood.
